European marine fuel supplier Burando Energies on Thursday (5 March) said it has expanded its fleet and entered Zeebrugge market with sustainable marine fuels including Green Methanol.
The company welcomed the estuary barge MTS ODYSSEE to its fleet under a time charter agreement, a strategic move that marks a significant expansion of our operational footprint in North-West Europe.
Built in 2019, MTS ODYSSEE offers a total cargo capacity of 4,050 m³ and immediately enhances Burando Energies’ supply capabilities.
“By entering the Port of Zeebrugge, we position ourselves closer to clients in a key maritime hub where demand for reliable and alternative fuel solutions continues to grow,” the company said in a social media post.
The vessel will primarily be deployed for the delivery of biofuels. Additionally, MTS ODYSSEE is fully equipped to supply methanol, an alternative marine fuel gaining strong momentum and for which Burando Energies has already received multiple customer requests.

By expanding into Zeebrugge, the company said it has broadened its geographical reach and also strengthened its ability to respond to the evolving fuel mix required by shipowners and operators.
