Island Oil launches Rio trading desk, names new Business Development Manager

This marked an important milestone in Island Oil’s international growth and a step that strengthens its ability to support customers across Latin America.

International marine fuel trading firm Island Oil on Tuesday (27 January) announced the appointment of Mr Wilson Nobre as the Business Development Manager for Brazil with the opening of its Rio trading desk. 

The company said this marked an important milestone in Island Oil’s international growth and a step that strengthens its ability to support customers across Latin America. 

Island Oil’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Vangelis Marinakis, said: “It is with excitement that we welcome Wilson. Being present in Rio will allow us to better serve its customers in the region, with our usual customer-focus and integrity.”

Nobre, said: “It is with great pleasure that I begin my journey with Island Oil. The opening of our Rio reading desk marks a key moment for the company, and I look forward to contributing to our success in the Latin American markets.”
