Maritime Montering on Friday (6 March) said it has signed a contract with Turkish shipbuilder RMK Marine to deliver the complete interior outfitting and accommodation package for a new LNG and bio-LNG bunker tanker Celsius.
The vessel is being built by RMK Marine for a Joint Venture between Gasum and Swedish shipping company Sirius Shipping to support cleaner energy solutions in the Nordics.
“The newbuild project marks the beginning of cooperation between Maritime Montering and RMK Marine,” the company said on its website.
Under the contract, Maritime Montering’s scope of work includes the delivery of a complete interior package, covering design concept development, furniture production, installation, and other turnkey-related services.
“We are truly proud to start our cooperation with RMK Marine and bring our many years of expertise in marine interiors and crew comfort at sea to the Celsius project,” said Murat Korkut, General Manager of Maritime Montering Turkey.
Manifold Times previously reported TGE Marine Gas Engineering announcing its collaboration with RMK Marine on a new 7,800 m³ LNG bunker vessel.
The vessel Celsius will have TGE Marine’s Type C Bi-lobe tanks and a cargo handling and fuel gas system on board.
