Bunker fuel sales at Panama dropped by 4.3% in December 2025, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Total bunker sales at Panama was 478,938 metric tonnes (mt) in December 2025, compared to sales of 500,563 mt during the similar period in 2024.
In December 2025, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 393,30 mt; 234,232 mt of VLSFO, 119,078 mt of RMG 380, 2,489 mt for marine gas oil (MGO), and 37,509 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine sales of 415,466 mt a year before in December; with VLSFO sales at 228,222 mt, RMG 380 sales at 145,117 mt, MGO sales at 4,997 mt, and 37,130 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 85,630 during December 2025; the figure comprised 61,037 mt of VLSFO, 12,658 mt of RMG 380, 3,260 mt of MGO, and 8,675 mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 85,097 mt in December a year before; with VLSFO sales of 59,546 mt, RMG 380 sales of 12,568 mt, 6,350 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 6,633 mt.
