Physical supplier Verde Marine Energy names Steve Taylor as UK Operations Director

Taylor will be based at the Pristine ABP Port Office, located on the River Humber, a strategically located hub that will support VME’s growing bunkering and marine energy activities across the UK.

Marine energy and lubricants physical supplier and trader Verde Marine Energy (VME) on Wednesday (25 February) announced the appointment of Steve Taylor as Director of the UK, marking an important milestone in the company’s continued expansion in the United Kingdom.

Taylor will be based at the Pristine ABP Port Office, located on the River Humber, a strategically located hub that will support VME’s growing bunkering and marine energy activities across the UK.

From this base, Taylor will work closely with the VertomCory teams across the UK, as well as Mariflex and other Vertom Group businesses, ensuring strong operational alignment and the effective use of group-wide synergies.

Taylor joins VME at a pivotal moment. He will collaborate closely with the Vertom Group, leveraging his extensive UK market knowledge, deep industry relationships, and proven experience to further strengthen VME’s footprint in the region. His primary focus will be on growing VME’s UK bunkering business, supported by the full backing, resources, and expertise of the Vertom Group.

The appointment also reinforced the close cooperation between Verde Marine Energy BV’s established physical supply operations and international network and the UK business. Existing trading relationships, operational know-how, and supply synergies will be utilised to support Taylor and accelerate VME’s growth in the UK market.

“VME looks forward to working with Taylor as the company continues to build a strong, reliable, and forward-looking bunkering and marine energy platform across the United Kingdom,” the company said.

Joe Tierney, Director of Verde Marine Energy B.V., Rotterdam, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Steve on board as Director of our UK bunker business. He is joining us at an excellent moment for the company, and I am very much looking forward to working alongside him, sharing knowledge, and using the synergies across our businesses to further strengthen Verde Marine Energy’s presence in the UK.”
