The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has awarded bunker supplier and bunker craft operator licences to Pertamina International Marketing & Distribution Pte Ltd (PIMD) at Singapore port.
MPA named PIMD in its list as a licensed supplier of marine diesel oil, marine gasoil and marine fuel oil and bunker craft operator as of 1 January 2026, according to a document on MPA’s website.
PIMD is a Singapore-based, wholly-owned subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero)’s Commercial & Trading Sub-holding, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga. Pertamina Group is an Indonesia state-owned enterprise engaged in the energy sector including oil, gas, and new and renewable energy.
PIMD’s businesses are focusing on fuel bunker trading, petroleum products trading, and aim to serve as the hub for further the group’s expansion in downstream marketing international business.
With the entry of PIMD, there are now 39 licensed bunker suppliers in Singapore. The number has dwindled from 41, which was recorded in a MPA document, dated 3 January 2025.
This comes following MPA’s decisions last year to not renew the bunker supplier and bunker craft operator licences of Sentek Marine & Trading Pte Ltd, Sirius Marine Pte Ltd and Hai Yin Marine Pte Ltd.
